How overtime works in the US
Federal law looks at hours over 40 in a workweek at 1.5×. California also uses daily OT. Other countries have their own pages.
- Federal: hours over 40 per week at 1.5×
- California: 1.5× after 8 hours, 2.0× after 12, plus a 7th-day rule
- Taiwan and Japan have separate statutory tables in the app
